Maria was born in August 2009 and lives with her family in Chapala. In late 2014 she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was being treated at the Hospital Civil in Guadalajara and started chemotherapy treatments in November 2014.

The family came to us in January 2015 as they needed help for transportation to and from the Civil and also with special nutrition like Pediasure.

From her doctor’s report, she will be undergoing chemotherapy for approximately three years. In July 2017 she will undergo a spinal tap and then her doctor will decide how many more treatments she will need. We have reimbursed the family a total of 24,455 pesos for transport mostly.

When we see her at our clinic in Chapala she is always smiling and has a very positive attitude.
