From earthquakes and volcanoes to murder mysteries and even a kitchen sink, this show is far from your typical adventure story. Steinkamp’s tales are humorous, spirited, and triumphant as she weaves together the extraordinary with the everyday.

As a self-proclaimed nomad, writer, photographer, and grand slam-winning storyteller, Steinkamp is no stranger to incredible experiences. Her blog, Free-Range Chick, documents a seven-year adventure across over 140 unique destinations, while her stories about family and travel have captivated readers on Amazon.

But the show’s centerpiece is deeply personal. Steinkamp recounts the harrowing events of November 26, 2023, when she and fellow foreign resident Katrina “Polly” Vale were involved in a devastating traffic accident. While standing on the sidewalk outside Walmart in Ajijic, a dump truck lost control and flipped over, burying them under a load of rocks and debris. Despite the severity of the accident, Alexis found a way to move forward, drawing on her humor and resilience to share her story. Alexis has managed to find both healing and humor in even the darkest moments.

This unique production is more than just a tale of survival. It’s a celebration of the strength of the human spirit and the power of laughter in overcoming hardship.
