His Greatness
Written by Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor, His Greatness is billed as a speculative scenario of what might have happened in Tennessee Williams’ life.
In 1980, Williams is in Vancouver for the opening of his latest play, written 20 years after his biggest hits. He is now mired in a haze of drugs, booze & anonymous sex.
The language of this play is so poetic, it’s almost as if Tennessee Williams had written it himself. That’s major praise for Mr. MacIvor, whose play is filled with great humor and tragedy; all masterfully interwoven in this exquisitely crafted play.
Bernadette Jones directs her actors, Paul Kloegman, Ken Yakiwchuck, and Mark Donaldson,
Tickets are 200 pesos for Friday’s performance and 300 pesos for Saturday and Sunday. Reserve now at barestagetheatre2018@gmail.com.
