August 6: Are You Who You Think You Are?

An Overview of Personality Styles

By Dr. Richard Diehl

Dr. Richard Diehl

Richard Diehl, a former faculty member at State University of NY is also a retired Traditional Naturopath, Acupuncturist, and International NLP trainer. Therapists and others question if who we are is ever fully authentic or if our personality is largely a compensation for perceived childhood stresses. The talk will cover several models of personality types. As Alfred Korzybski stated: the map is not the territory. Possible topics include: Enneagram, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Values Scale, Virginia Satir’s categories, and DSM 5 psychiatric disorders.

August 13: Our Personal Philosophies of Life

How They Guide Us Positively and Negatively

By Dr. Dan Acuff

Dr. Dan Acuff

Simple sayings can either limit us, or expand our well-being, success, and happiness. Consider the following sayings: life sucks then you die; life’s a bowl of cherries, don’t speak unless spoken to, you can’t trust anyone, an eye for an eye, actions speak louder than words, and better safe than sorry. Come prepared to identify your own personal life philosophies and to share them with a partner. You might discover the need to revise, replace, add on or remove certain seemingly innocent sayings that put guardrails on your everyday happiness or contribute to it.

September 3, 2023: Can Animals Talk to Us?

By Diane LeBlanc

Diane LeBlanc

Bone Voyage Dog Rescue presents the internationally known author and animal communicator, Diane LeBlanc. Diane is part of a growing movement that was once discounted as “pet psychics,” but now has gained legitimacy as scientists add to our knowledge about animals. Diane will show that animal communication is neither magic nor mind-reading but an innate skill we all have — if we take the time to develop it. She will give live demonstrations of this skill by communicating with selected Bone Voyage Rescue dogs. Diane’s website is https://becomingapetwhisperer.com/
