Changes
I have found that the only constant in the universe is change. And change has come into my own life once again. This time, this change will take me away from Mexico, so I must resign as Editor for the Ojo del Lago. This is my last issue.
I have enjoyed my work with the Ojo for the past 18 years, beginning as a columnist and proofreader, then on to Associate Editor and finally Editor-in-Chief. It has been a privilege to work with the Ojo staff and to serve the Lakeside community. It has been an honor to work with the many organizations and all the people who have written for the Ojo during my tenure. My departure date and my plans are still falling into place, but I know I will be leaving my beloved adopted country and starting a new chapter in my life. I jokingly call it Chapter Three. I will be working in a different industry while I work on recently diagnosed health challenges.
The Ojo del Lago is going to be left in great hands. The March issue is already in the works with our new Editor-in-Chief, Daria Hilton. Many of you have enjoyed her articles, profiles, and her column Good News Gazette. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Daria as your new Editor. It is with a broken heart that I prepare to move away from my adopted country.
