Casa del Sol

Back by popular demand! Ceramicist Dawn Carver returns to Casa Del Sol, exhibiting her stunning, glazed, hand-built, clay pieces. Most of these remarkable works will hold water making them not only beautiful but practical as well. The exhibit runs until August 31st.

July 8 & 9

Las Voces del Lago

Las Voces del Lago presents Broadway Musical Magic! More than 65 voices bring the excitement of Broadway to life in a dazzling concert of beloved classics and contemporary favorites.

Filled with romance, laughter, drama, and soaring choral sound, this joyful summer celebration promises an unforgettable afternoon for all ages.

The concert features dancer-singers in select numbers, including a striking “Masquerade” from The Phantom of the Opera with masks and fans.

Join Lake Chapala’s dynamic community chorus July 8 and 9 at 3:00 PM at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Chapala. Tickets: 400 pesos.

Lake Chapala Orchestra

Lake Chapala Orchestra announces the “Shimmering Strings” Concert for Its Summer Series. The concert will take place on Saturday, July 11 at 4:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 19 San Lucas in Riberas. Note for patrons: The church is fully air-conditioned for your summer comfort.

This meticulously curated program highlights the depth, agility, and brilliant textures of the string orchestra, featuring a brilliant selection of works spanning the Baroque era to the 20th century. The afternoon’s repertoire promises an engaging musical journey, featuring masterworks from Bach, Grieg, Jacob and Britten

The performance will also showcase two outstanding LCO players Marianna Hermosillo (Violin), featured soloist for Bach’s timeless Violin Concerto No. 2 and Susanne Bullock (Clarinet), featured soloist for Gordon Jacob’s charming Concertino.

Lakeside Little Theatre

On Monday, July 13th, at 3 and 7 pm, Lakeside Little Theatre will host world-class flamenco. The extravaganza will feature, among other similarly acclaimed artists, Paulina Ruiz Hernández, Sophia Arce, Emilia Gálvez and prodigy Mario Ruiz who enjoys an international reputation for merging Spanish flamenco with Mexican Soul.

Tickets for $500 pesos are available at www.lakesidelittletheatre.com/tickets or at the box office before the performances. Patrons with a Mexican INE will receive a $100 peso discount at the box office or by making a reservation via tickets@lakesidelittletheatre.com.

Proceeds from this performance will benefit Ajijic Cares.

Lakeside Little Theatre

Lakeside Little Theatre is proud to present a special one-time concert by CREM, featuring a talented ensemble of musicians including violinist Areli Medeles. Audiences are invited to enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music celebrating the rich artistic talent of our region.

The performance takes place Saturday, July 18 at 4:00 PM.

Lakeside Freethinkers

Little Aurora can be yours ahora!

The Lakeside Freethinkers plan to meet on Thursday, July 16, from about 4 to 5:30 PM via Zoom to learn about Conflict Resolution and some successful uses of its methods in recent history. There will be time to discuss how it aligns with Freethinking principles such as critical thinking, scientific literacy, and similar objectives.

The Ranch Dog Rescue

Help The Ranch ….

….round up crates to send our dogs to their forever homes “up North.” We will be having a CRATE DRIVE on Friday, 17 July, between 10A and 1P in front of the defunct Black Coffee (Laguna Mall). Crates need to have all parts, be in good shape, and be airline worthy. We need XL, L and M (no smalls). If you can’t come that day, email us for crate pick-up at: jj_diamond@yahoo.com. Lucky Dog

Lucky Dog is seeking volunteers for key roles to help support the dogs in our care and strengthen our organization.

High Priority

Treasurer (5–8 hrs/week): banking, payroll, reconciliation, accountant meetings. Requires Permanente residency.

President (20–30 hrs/month): planning, fundraising, approvals, leadership. Requires Permanente residency.

Next Priority

Fundraising Coordinator: develop ideas and oversee events.
