Casa del Sol Inn
Casa Del Sol Inn, Javier Mina 7, Ajijic, continues its exhibit of the one of a kind, tropic oils and engravings by the internationally acclaimed Columbian artist Luis Uribe. This exhibit can be seen each day, at the Inn until Nov. 4th.
Our new exhibit “MAGIC IN BLACK AND WHITE” begins on Nov. 6th, with a reception from 4 to 6PM, featuring Guadalajara artists Marina Pallares and her husband Alejandro Partida who bring their magical prints to life in black and white.

Freedom Revival Choir
with director Cindy Paul
Lakeside’s new people’s choir is firing up for a memory-making debut this December. Kids from local charity homes join Freedom Chorale adults to make it happen this upcoming Christmas season. The concert, “One Starry Night,” will light up your heart in an unforgettable way.
After rehearsing the two choirs separately, director Cindy Paul brought the adults and kids together in September. It’s not too late to join!
Rehearsals are still open until the end of October. They are on Fridays from 3:30-5pm at Love in Action Pedro Moreno #76, Chapala. For details, write cindypaul2@gmail.com.

Lake Chapala Fine Artists Guild
The Lake Chapala Fine Artists Guild will be having a group exhibition at the Ajijic Cultural Center (in the Ajijic Plaza) from Saturday, October 3 through Sunday, October 25, 2026. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 3 from 4pm to 6pm, and will feature live music, wine, beer, and agua fresca. Come and meet the artists and see this stunning art exhibit.
The Guild proudly supports the Efrén González Children’s Art Program. During the reception, you’ll find art cards and original works by these talented young students available for purchase – half of the proceeds go directly to the young artists and their families. The Bravo! Theatre
The Half Life of Marie Curie. Because of a personal scandal, the press, Paris, and all of France is at war against…Marie Curie. Yes, the Nobel laureate! Fellow scientist, Heartha Ayerton, jumps in to help her dear friend fight this battle, only the latest facing two brilliant women in the early 20th century. Don’t miss this rarely told chapter of Marie’s story presented in The Half Life of Marie Curie, at The BRAVO! in Riberas. Monday October 12 at 4 PM Lakeside Little Theatre will present its first Metropolitan Opera of the season, Cosi Fan Tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This 2-act opera is a captivating comedy of fickle young love, fidelity and human nature. Inspired by Coney Island in the 1950s, 2 pairs of lovers find themselves on one emotional and literal thrill ride after another.

On October 22 & 23, Lakeside Little Theatre will hold auditions for the fourth production of its 62nd season, Native Gardens, by Karen Zacarias. This play, which explores the clash of cultures and gardens, leading to a border dispute over property lines, revealing underlying issues of race, taste, class and privilege will be directed by Paul Revaz and will run January 23 -31. The Art of Murder by: Joe DiPietro A deliciously dark, Award-winning comedy-thriller that turns greed into a fine art. Now with English subtitles, this play, directed by Dominic Cooke, is a compelling exploration of the clash between morality and independence, traditions and progress. Five-time Oliver Award-winner Imelda Stauton (The Crown) joins forces with her real-life daughter, Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) for the first time playing mother and daughter in this incendiary moral classic.

Lake Chapala Orchestra
The Lake Chapala Orchestra is proud to announce a monumental performance of Beethoven’s masterpiece, Symphony No. 9 in D minor ‘Choral’. This highly anticipated musical event will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Robert Kleffer Auditorium Instituto Tecnologico, Libramiento Chapala – Ajijic #200.
Under the direction of conductor Michael Reason, the orchestra will bring to life one of the greatest achievements in the history of Western music. Celebrated for its powerful themes of unity and hope, the symphony will feature an extraordinary lineup of guest vocalists and choral talent, culminating in the transcendent “Ode to Joy.”

Lakeside Little Theatre’s second production of its 62nd season, Regrets Only by Paul Rudnick and directed by Monnie King, opens on November 6 and runs through November 15. This comedy mixes a powerful attorney, his socialite wife and a staggeringly successful fashion designer, with a daughter’s engagement, some major gowns and the US President.

Lakeside Freethinkers
The Lakeside Freethinkers will meet on Thursday, October 15, from about 4 to 5:30 PM via Zoom to hear member presentations on how they fit into the definition of Freethinkers as atheists, agnostics, secular humanists, rationalists, and skeptics who reject supernatural claims. There will be time to consider how the discussion and its conclusions align with Freethinking principles such as critical thinking, scientific literacy, and honest communication.

Tepalo Pickleball Club
Pickleball is increasingly popular, and increasingly expensive, at Lakeside. Instead of paying $140 pesos for two hours at commercial courts, players can donate $50 pesos to play at the school court alongside El Tepalo. One hundred percent of playing donations goes toward purchasing “extras” for Ajijic schools.
The playground is used for pickleball only when the students aren’t using it. Signing up is done online by members and run by volunteers. The Primary School recently received $5000 from the Tepalo players to purchase new balls.

Have you ever considered fostering a dog for The Ranch? With the shelter constantly full, our dogs would appreciate a mini vacation in a home, just a week or two. A report from a foster family helps SO MUCH in making dogs more adoptable. Plus, it’s fun! Please consider it. Also, dog walking occurs every day between 9:15 and 12:00.
