Shelley Edson

Shelley’s love affair with Mexico started in the 1970s, when you could still take a passenger train from the US border all the way to Merida. When it came time to retire in late 2008, Lakeside was an easy choice with its great expat infrastructure. She returned to the US in 2014 and then returned to Lakeside in 2022. Prior to retirement, Shelley worked at IBM, starting in the late 1960s with computers that are now affectionately referred to as “dinosaurs,” and then venturing into managing computer data centers. Twenty-five years later, she ventured into technical writing and finally internet retail sales for ten years.
